Leading Up to the Move!

(This post is going to take me a while. Please check in every once and a while to see it's progress. Slowly but surely, I'll get it done. AND NOW the pictures are disappearing from this post! I'll do what I can, thanks for being patient)
I'll do the best I can, which means I'm going through my photos and trying to remember in what order they all happened. And most of this post is going to be events that happened within the last 3 months before I moved to Denver, CO.
First up, you guessed it... More theme parks! (Early June)
[Melissa and Sean excited to go on Sidewinder]
Knott's Berry Farm, the last on our list of theme parks!
[Waiting in line for Boomerang]
[0-80mph in 2.5 seconds. Wonder why it's called X-elerator?!]
Then, what do you do after a day of roller coasters? Downtown Disney of course. We met up with some more people at the Amazon Cafe in Downtown Disney.
[Adam, Kari, Nina, Melissa, Sean, me (yes in glassless glasses)]

--Then, my best friend since Kindergarten Aaron Harada got married!
I headed back to Portland later in June to be apart of Aaron and Gaby's wedding. It was at a church in Salem
[Aaron practicing his first kiss as a husband?][We almost called off the wedding (HAH!)]
The photographers took some amazing shots, and Aaron and Gaby sent me some of them but I am without a scanner. So I took a picture of some of them with my camera, like this one...
[I love this picture!]

I only planned, and got plain tickets to stay in Portland for a week. Nate was awesome enough to offer me some painting if I stayed another week. So I did that, and it was nice to be in Portland for a little while longer. I got to spend some time with mom and dad, and a bunch of family came over after church one Sunday. Nate, Ricky and I went out to some cool places a few nights too. It was a very good couple of weeks.
Then I was back in Sherman Oaks for approximately one day before we took off for...

TEXAS!

This week really was like a Pepperdine reunion. Friends from many states gathered in the small town of Wimberly, Texas for Hollie Tucker and Matt Marine's wedding.
[Believed to be one of the greatest pictures ever taken (below)]
[The Church]
The wedding was very them. Wednesday (the Maid of Honor) read a short story called "I Like You." It was way cute and funny. Then Jason Murphy (Man of Honor, and old roommate extraordinair) read, with a straight face the entire time, You Got The Touch, which is also known as the theme from the original animated Transformers movie.

You moved to Denver??? So much for hanging out when we still lived in the same state... Eric and I have been living in SLO for almost 6 months now! I've found a love for boogie boarding that coincides my slight fear of sharks. I grew up in Colorado and we plan to move there someday when (if) our love of the west coast wears off.

I'm so sad to hear about the loss of your nephew... I cried from start of finish of your entry! I will be praying for you and your family during this time of grieving. Please pass along my condolences to your mom and dad too.

I'm looking forward to more posts from you from beautiful Colorado :) My sis lives in Denver... she likes it a lot. Let me know if you need cool places to go see.

You moved:) I'm glad I found you, though. Thanks so much for your post on the old blog...It meant alot to me. And I'm glad to know a little more about you during that time--it was strange having you and Ricky so far away.

Can't wait to see you again! A couple more months, eh? Are you coming home for Christmas?

I'm not sure if you still have the e-mail address I have for you, so I will comment back here...

Glad to hear you're liking Denver! I understand the need for change. Were you working at the OSF downtown? My grandma used to take me there when I was little and I loved it!

Eric still talks about how he misses his car. He really loved that thing, but at the time we couldn't afford to have two, so it was great timing that you needing something to drive around. Have you had any more offers? We understand the need to sell it (Edinburgh would be awesome!) If you have any questions, let us know!

Last night we went to a local theater that played Goonies and I got teary when I saw Canon Beach. Remember when we went camping and saw the Goonies house? The theater that seats 900 was sold out! It was amazing!

Do you have Thanksgiving plans? Eric and I will be in Colorado for a few days, about three hours from Denver. If you don't have plans and you need one, let me know! niki.arnette@gmail.com

Just for the record, the wedding was never close to being called off.
